Meaning:

1: (Salutations to Sri Ganesha) Who has a Curved Trunk, Who has a Large Body and Whose Splendour is similar to Million Suns;

2: O Deva, Please Make my Undertakings Free of Obstacles, By extending Your Blessings in All my Works, Always.

1: Salutations to Devi Saraswati, Who is the giver of Boons and fulfiller of Wishes,

2: O Devi, when I begin my Studies, Please bestow on me the capacity of Right Understanding, always.

Meaning:

1: (Salutations to Sri Vishnu) Who has a Serene Appearance, Who Rests on a Serpent (Adisesha), Who has a Lotus on His Navel and Who is the Lord of the Devas,

2: Who Sustains the Universe, Who is Boundless and Infinite like the Sky, Whose Colour is like the Cloud (Bluish) and Who has a Beautiful and Auspicious Body,

3: Who is the Husband of Devi Lakshmi, Whose Eyes are like Lotus and Who is Attainable to the Yogis by Meditation,

4: Salutations to That Vishnu Who Removes the Fear of Worldly Existence and Who is the Lord of All the Lokas.

Meaning:

1: (I Remember with Devotion the Divine Grace of Krishna Who can make the) Dumb speak with Eloquence and the Lame cross high Mountains,

2: I Remember and Extol that Grace which flows from the Supreme Bliss manifestation of Madhava.

1: (Salutations to You O Narayani) Who is the Auspiciousness in All the Auspicious, Auspiciousness Herself, Complete with All the Auspicious Attributes, and Who fulfills All the Objectivesof the Devotees (Purusharthas - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha),

2: Who is the Giver of Refuge, With Three Eyes and a Shining Face; Salutations to You O Narayani.

Meaning:

1: Om, Pervading the Bhu Loka (Earth, Consciousness of the Physical Plane), Bhuvar Loka (Antariksha, The Intermediate Space, Consciousness of Prana) and Swar Loka (Sky, Heaven, Consciousness of the Divine Mind),

2: That Savitur (Savitri, Divine Essence of the Sun) which is the most Adorable,

3: I Meditate on that Divine Effulgence,

Meaning:

1: Om, May God Protect us Both (the Teacher and the Student) (during the journey of awakening our Knowledge),

2: May God Nourish us Both (with that spring of Knowledge which nourishes life when awakened),

3: May we Work Together with Energy and Vigour (cleansing ourselves with that flow of energy for the Knowledge to manifest),

4: May our Study be Enlightening (taking us towards the true Essence underlying everything), and not giving rise to Hostility (by constricting the understanding of the Essence in a particular manifestation only),

5: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace (be there in the three levels - Adhidaivika, Adhibhautika and Adhyatmika).

शुभं करोति कल्याणं आरोग्यं धनसंपदः

शत्रुबुद्धिविनाशाय दीपज्योतिनमोऽस्तु ते

"Subham Karoti Kalyanam Arogyam Dhana Sampadah

Meaning: "I fold my hands before the light that brings prosperity, auspiciousness, good health, abundance of wealth and destruction of the enemy's intellect". Here, Darkness symbolizes enemy's intellect and with the arrival of light, darkness disappears. Likewise, light (God's Grace) destroys darkness (enemy's intellect).



दीपज्योतिः परब्रह्म दीपज्योति जनार्दनः

दीपो हरतु मे पापं संध्यादीप नमोऽस्तुते

"Deepajyothi Parabrahma Deepajyothi Janardhana

Meaning: The literal meaning of the mantra is: "I fold my hands before the lord, the maintainer of this creation, in the form of this light. I adore this light, which destroys all the pains resulting from my omissions and commissions".



वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्य कोटी समप्रभा

निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्व-कार्येशु सर्वदा॥



Saraswati Mantra:



सरस्वति नमस्तुभ्यं वरदे कामरूपिणि

विद्यारम्भं करिष्यामि सिद्धिर्भवतु मे सदा



Meaning:



गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णु र्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः

गुरु साक्षात परब्रह्मा तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः

Vishnu Mantra:

देवकीपरमानन्दं कृष्णं वंदे जगद्गुरुम् ||



Devi Mantra:



या देवी सर्वभुतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता

नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः



सर्व -मङ्गल -माङ्गल्ये  शिवे  सर्वार्थ -साधिके

शरण्ये  त्र्यम्बके  गौरी  नारायणी  नमोस्तुते |

Meaning:



सृष्टिस्थितिविनाशानां शक्तिभूते सनातनि

गुणाश्रये गुणमये नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते

Gayatri Mantra:



भूर्भुवः स्वः

तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं

भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि

धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्



General meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual). May this divine light illumine our intellect.



Word meaning: Om: The primeval sound; Bhur: the physical body/physical realm; Bhuvah: the life force/the mental realm Suvah: the soul/spiritual realm; Tat:  That (God); Savitur: the Sun, Creator (source of all life); Vareñyam: adore; Bhargo: effulgence (divine light); Devasya: supreme Lord; Dhīmahi: meditate; Dhiyo: the intellect; Yo: May this light; Nah: our; Prachodayāt: illumine/inspire.



त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे

Om Try-Ambakam Yajaamahe

Sugandhim Pusstti-Vardhanam

Urvaarukam-Iva Bandhanaan

Mrtyor-Mukssiiya Maa-[A]mrtaat ||



Meaning:

1: Om, We Worship the Three-Eyed One (Lord Shiva),

2: Who is Fragrant (Spiritual Essence) and Who Nourishes all beings.

3: May He severe our Bondage of Samsara (Worldly Life), like a Cucumber (severed from the bondage of its Creeper), ...

4: ... and thus Liberate us from the Fear of Death, by making us realize that we are never separated from our Immortal Nature.

Meaning:

1: Om, (O Lord) Keep me not in the Unreality (of the bondage of the Phenomenal World), but lead me towards the Reality (of the Eternal Self),

2: (O Lord) Keep me not in the Darkness (of Ignorance), but lead me towards the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),

3: (O Lord) Keep me not in the (Fear of) Death (due to the bondage of the Mortal World), but lead me towards the Immortality (gained by the Knowledge of the Immortal Self beyond Death),



4: Om, (May there be) Peace, Peace, Peace (at the the three levels - Adidaivika, Adibhautika and Adhyatmika).



पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात्पुर्णमुदच्यते

Meaning:

1: Om, That (Outer World) is Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); This (Inner World) is also Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); From Purna comes Purna (From the Fullness of Divine Consciousness the World is manifested) ,

2: Taking Purna from Purna, Purna Indeed Remains (Because Divine Consciousness is Non-Dual and Infinite).

3: Om Peace, Peace, Peace.
